Ingram Valley Farm attended the Celebrating Success Awards at Newcastle University on the 25th of April to celebrate the nomination of their Winter Intern, Amala Parry, for Intern of the Year…
The Celebrating Success Workplace Awards, an annual event hosted by Newcastle University, celebrates student achievements within the workplace. Ingram Valley Farm attended the ceremony to celebrate their 2023/24 Winter Intern, Amala Parry, nominated for ‘Intern of the Year.’
Representatives and nominees from large companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Nissan, Pret and PepsiCo were present. Ingram Farm joined these prestigious organisations to celebrate the impact of placement students and interns on local and global organisations. The night showcased Newcastle student’s talents and innovative ideas within the workspace.
The evening started with a complimentary drink, canapes and photos in front of the shimmer wall before the ceremony. Next, Gayle Leach, Senior Manager for Work Experience and Graduate opportunities, welcomed the audience. Winners and runners-up were announced within four sections: Internships, Placements, Apprenticeships and Newcastle University Careers. Although our nominee didn’t win or come runner-up, we are proud of her achievements and nomination within this category!
Amala joined us in November 2023 for a Winter internship. Throughout her time with Ingram Valley, she helped start our ‘Star in the Countryside’ blog page and wrote articles for Your North East Magazine and the Glendale Live. Amala also designed astronomy playing cards, inspired by Dr Adrian Janetta’s dark sky photography, and a deck of top trump cards inspired by Ingram Valley’s wildlife.
At Ingram Farm, we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Winter Intern and extend our warmest congratulations to all award winners and nominees. Thank you to the Newcastle University Careers team for the memorable evening!
